Diamonds are recognised and well-regarded for their clarity, but Evelyn Chung founded her custom jewellery brand, Twomorrow, to spotlight Salt-and-pepper diamonds, ones that sport black and white inclusions, instead. Launched just last November, Twomorrow represents the latest move for the former banker and financial consultant, who believes that “leading by example is the best way to inspire and motivate others.”

Evelyn Chung, founder of Twomorrow, a jewellery brand born late last year to showcase the beauty of Salt-and-pepper diamonds, the appeal and potential of earthy coloured diamonds is so strong that the brand is launching its Champagne Diamond Collection this November. “The ability of these colours to stand out yet blend in makes them an exquisite choice that never gets old,” Chung says. “Although some may say that white diamonds are classic, coloured diamonds have a flair of their own. We see many clients coming in asking for unique pieces that capture their personality and style, and they love unconventional diamonds for [their distinctive qualities].”

It takes someone with a truly unconventional taste to appreciate this new trend in diamonds. Salt-and-pepper diamonds are in the spotlight now, even if they appeal to a niche market.
These diamonds are speckled with large inclusions, but are appreciated for their unusual, galaxy-like appearance. Each stone is special because of its unique pattern of inclusions – in other words, every one of them is one-of-a-kind.
Her world

Think of a traditional engagement ring and you might envision a perfect, round-shaped, brilliant-cut diamond. But if you’re the sort of person who prefers your jewellery a little less cookie-cutter, homegrown jewellery Twomorrow is an option you can consider. Founder Evelyn Chung created the brand to make unconventional diamonds and shapes more accessible, and to show just how beautiful they are.

Chung has observed that many consumers are looking for custom shapes beyond the normal oval or round cuts. She has even received several requests for coffin-shaped cuts from customers who appreciate more gothic and unique aesthetics.

The founder likens people to raw diamonds and sees the beauty in the raw diamonds that are waiting to be turned into beautiful pieces of jewellery that shines. So she created Twomorrow to challenge conventional beauty norms with a curated selection of unconventional diamonds, especially Salt-and-pepper diamonds, known for their unique inclusions and character.
